Qarar (qarar.tv) is a bilingual business podcast and editorial platform, operated by the Emboard team. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights available to you. For any questions, email alaa@emboard.io.
Guest applications: name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, company, role, country, decision pitch, topics, and referral source. Contact form: name, email, subject, message. Newsletter: email, locale, source page, and interests. Accounts (email sign-up or Google sign-in): email, display name, avatar, and auth provider. Comments & reactions: comment text, reaction type, linked to your account. Push notifications: your browser's push subscription endpoint, keys, and locale. Analytics: anonymous view events for pages, episodes, and articles, with referrer, user agent, and country — no long-term IP storage. Player & saved episodes: stored locally in your browser (localStorage); never sent to our servers.
To review guest applications, reply to messages, send the newsletter and new-episode notifications, operate accounts and comments, improve the show through aggregated analytics, and send transactional emails (welcome, confirmation, unsubscribe). We do not use your data for advertising and do not sell it to anyone.
We rely on your consent for newsletter, push notifications, and comments; on legitimate interest for analytics, security, and site protection; and on contract performance to deliver the account features you request.
We use Lovable Cloud for hosting, database, and authentication; Resend for email delivery; Buzzsprout for audio hosting; YouTube/Google for video embeds (subject to Google's privacy policy); and Google OAuth for single sign-on. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Some service providers operate in the EU or the United States. In those cases we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your data.
We use essential cookies for authentication and locale preference, and store your saved episodes and player state locally in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies. YouTube embeds may set their own cookies when you play a video.
Guest applications: 24 months. Contact messages: 12 months unless they become an ongoing conversation. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Accounts and comments: until you request deletion. Analytics events: up to 14 months in aggregated form. Push subscriptions: until revoked or the browser subscription becomes invalid.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, export, and port your data; to withdraw consent; to object to certain processing; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email alaa@emboard.io and we will respond within 30 days.
The service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you become aware of such data, contact us and we will delete it.
We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest, apply strict access controls, and log administrative actions. No digital system is entirely risk-free, but we commit to following current best practices.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the newsletter and on the site, and the last-updated date at the top of this page will reflect any change.
